Senators approved the law on testing students for drugs

The Federation Council approved a law initiated by the government, which introduced testing students on the use of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
Provided that testing teenagers if they are under 15 years old, will be conducted with the consent of parents, and those over 15, should give such consent for yourself.
Drug tests among students seek to identify at-risk groups, as well as the timely provision of medical and psychological help.
As previously explained the Deputy Minister of Education and Science Alexander Klimov, who represented the bill at a meeting of the State Duma, the socio-psychological testing will take the form of interviews, tests.
The Law “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation on the prevention of the illicit use of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances” will enter into force six months after its official publication.
